Let’s talk about what your website could be doing for your business.

The Vancouver, BC HVAC specifics your website needs.

Every angle below comes from how Vancouver, BC homeowners search, evaluate, and buy, built into your site to help boost conversions.

The 2021 heat dome rewrote your market

Most Vancouver homes were never built with cooling, and your buyers remember why that matters. The June 25 to July 1, 2021 heat dome caused 619 confirmed heat-related deaths across BC, in a region where roughly 75% of residents had no air conditioning, and nearly all of those deaths happened indoors. That is the direct driver behind heat-pump-as-cooling retrofits, and your pages should name it head-on and drop the generic comfort pitch.

You size for Vancouver's damp cold

Vancouver gets 1,200 to 1,600 mm of rain across 165 to 180 rain days a year, which puts it in Pacific temperate rainforest territory. So your heat pump selection and moisture management run nearly year-round, unlike the dry-cold sizing logic behind most cold-climate content. Pre-war Kitsilano and Mount Pleasant homes often have no ductwork, which is why ductless mini-splits are the dominant install path you should feature.

BC stacks rebates up to $13,000

But quote the named programs and skip the inflated aggregate. BC Hydro's Home Renovation Rebate gives up to $4,000 for a whole-home heat pump, FortisBC's Air Source rebate matches that at up to $4,000, and the income-qualified CleanBC Energy Savings Program reaches up to $13,000 for ground-oriented homes. The '$16,000 to $19,000' figures on competitor sites are stacked third-party math with no single government program behind them, so keep them off your pages.

The gas-to-heat-pump standard rebate ended

Stop quoting a rebate Metro Vancouver no longer gets. CleanBC's standard-stream fuel-switching rebate for gas, oil, or propane to heat pump ended province-wide April 11, 2025, with the only exception north of 100 Mile House, which is not you. The federal Canada Greener Homes Grant and Loan are both closed too. Leaning on any of them dates your site and burns the homeowner who clicks through.

CGHAP funds no-cost retrofits in BC now

There is a live federal program worth naming for the right customer. The Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program expanded into BC on June 29, 2026, delivering no-cost heat pump and dual-fuel retrofits to an estimated 7,600 lower-income households through BC Hydro and FortisBC's existing assistance program. It is income-qualified with no direct homeowner portal, so your job is to screen and route eligible leads and market it only to those who qualify.

Wildfire Smoke, Seven Of Ten Summers

Vancouver's third season is smoke, and it sells filtration. Metro Vancouver logged a record 22 air-quality-advisory days in 2018, 18 of them smoke-related, and wildfire smoke or heat has degraded regional air in seven of the last ten summers. That is the case for high-efficiency filtration built into the heat pump and ventilation system you install. No active 2026 Metro Vancouver warning is running, so frame it as the recurring pattern it is.

BC Ties You To The Purpose

Vancouver runs under British Columbia's PIPA, in force since 2004. And it lets your visitors give consent only for the purpose you named, so you cannot collect a lead for a quote and then mine it for something else. So your form needs a clear reason for each field and a privacy contact people can actually reach. The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC enforces it.

Consent Can Be Pulled Back

BC's PIPA also lets a person withdraw consent, and your site has to make that possible, not bury it. So a Vancouver homeowner who gave you their number for an estimate can tell you to stop, and you have to honor it. And you have to limit what you collect to what a reasonable person would consider appropriate, which means your form should ask for what books the job and nothing more.

Where Vancouver HVAC Sites Leak

Website conversion in this market rides three pipelines at once. This page is one piece of our HVAC Conversion Rate Optimization work.

Get My Site Inspection

When the ridge parks over the Lower Mainland, half the no-cooling legacy stock shops for heat pumps in the same fortnight: first-time installs, five-figure decisions, compressed into days. Between events, the conversion research drips steadily, with the CleanBC tables open in another tab and half the metro's competitors still advertising a fuel-switching rebate that died in April 2025. The numbers here come straight from our State of HVAC 2026.

And the towers run their own pipeline entirely: condo owners whose installs live or die on a strata council vote, searching for the shop that knows the approval maze. And during every wave the same scene repeats: a visitor lands ready to book an estimate, and finds a number that rings to voicemail and a form that promises a callback within one business day. By the weekend, the install calendar she books is someone else's. The same crew also handles HVAC SEO in Vancouver, BC.

And the strata leak deserves its own accounting, because it compounds. A tower owner who can't find a shop fluent in the council process doesn't book with a competitor. She often books with nobody, and the heat problem on her floor goes unsolved until the next event. The first site in her search results that explains the approval path captures not just her install but the referral chain behind it: the neighbour two doors down with the same west-facing glass, the council member who watched the paperwork arrive complete, the property manager who now has a shop to recommend. One leak plugged in the tower pipeline pays out for years. We run the same build nearby for HVAC Conversion Rate Optimization in Calgary, AB.

That's a website conversion leak, and it has nothing to do with how the site looks. Vancouver website conversion problems hide in plain sight precisely because the site seems fine to everyone who isn't sweating. The owner sees a presentable homepage, the agency sees a delivered project, and only the heat-event homeowner sees the dead end. (If the site itself is the problem, slow on a phone, structurally broken, or still quoting dead rebate money, that's the build discipline, covered in HVAC web design in Vancouver. And if you're invisible to begin with, start at Vancouver HVAC SEO.) This page is the layer between: visitors in, booked jobs out.

The Conversion Baseline From the Inspection Data

Fervor's Digital State of the HVAC Industry work scored real contractor sites on one framework, evidence archived. The capture findings read like a leak map for the whole trade, and every number below is one your own website either beats or doesn't. Auditable in an afternoon.

After-Hours Capture When the Forecast Turns

Vancouver's highest-intent visitor arrives outside business hours, because the heat doesn't keep them and the one cool room is where the research happens at 10pm. What she needs is to book now: an install consult, a same-week repair, anything with a date on it. What most sites give her is voicemail and a promise.

The Phone-First Reality

For all the research behaviour, the Vancouver HVAC buyer mid-event is still a caller, thirty degrees indoors in a city without air conditioning converts by phone, in one tap or not at all.

Questions Contractors Ask Before Hiring Us

A site that books the job instead of just describing it. The work is conversion architecture first, so every page in Vancouver has a clear call path, real proof, and fast mobile load.

You see the scoring framework, the benchmark data behind it, and your ranked fix list before any remediation work begins. It is a diagnosis you can evaluate, not a promise you have to trust.

The Fervor Grade framework was built by scoring 380 contractor sites across roofing, remodeling, and HVAC. Your trade's patterns are in the data, not borrowed from SaaS or dentists.

A Booked by Design rebuild runs 30 to 60 days. It starts with a Site Inspection so the build targets the pages that are costing you calls.

You do. The domain, the content, the analytics, every account we touch. Day one. No ownership traps, no holding your site hostage if you leave.

Then you found out something that was already costing you, and now you know where. The inspection surfaces what is actually wrong on the site so you can decide what to fix.

No. We work with HVAC contractors across the region, and the research covers national brands too, so the benchmark holds whether you are downtown or two towns over.

A Booked by Design rebuild is one project price with no monthly lock-in. One booked job at your average ticket usually covers it, and we show you that math before you commit.

No. The work protects what already ranks. We map the URLs and the equity first, fix the conversion leaks, and improve the pages that search already trusts rather than wiping them.

Very little. The intake takes minutes, and the build work is ours to run from there. You keep running crews. We will only ask for things no one else can give us, like your real service area and your best photos.
