The Portland, OR HVAC specifics your website needs.

Every angle below comes from how Portland, OR homeowners search, evaluate, and buy, built into your site to help boost conversions.

The 2021 heat dome killed 72 neighbors

Portland hit an all-time record 116 degrees on June 28, 2021, and Multnomah County logged 72 heat-related deaths that month, 94 percent of them inside the victim's own home. AC adoption climbed to 78 percent of homes by 2019 from 43 percent in 2002, but roughly one in five households still had none. You are selling reliability here.

Portland's air was the world's worst in 2020

On September 13, 2020 Portland's AQI hit a record 477, hazardous, and IQAir ranked the city's air the worst of any in the world that week, in a metro that had never logged a Very Unhealthy day before. Oregon DEQ's trend data shows smoke days rising over the decade. Sell MERV-13-or-better filtration on the trend.

Energy Trust pays $800 to $3,000 per system

Energy Trust of Oregon pays PGE and Pacific Power customers for qualifying heat pumps: $1,000 on a standard ducted unit, $800 ductless, and up to $3,000 for attached homes, rentals, or income-qualified households through Savings Within Reach. The ducted incentive requires HSPF2 of 7.50-plus and that the system replace an electric forced-air furnace with no gas backup.

PGE stacks up to $2,000 through August

Portland General Electric runs a limited offer worth up to $2,000 off a qualifying Trane ducted heat pump or $600 on a Mitsubishi ductless system through participating contractors, running through August 31, 2026. It stacks on top of the Energy Trust incentive plus a $200 approved-contractor rebate and a smart-thermostat enrollment bonus. Time the install before the offer closes.

The owner-occupied HP3 pool is already dry

Do not promise Oregon's $2,000 HP3 incentive to a homeowner. As of mid-2026 the owner-occupied funding was fully reserved at zero remaining, with only rental and new-construction pools still open. And the federal 25C credit expired December 31, 2025. Those funds draw down continuously, so check the balance before you quote, and lean on Energy Trust and PGE instead.

Your Website Is A Storefront

Title III of the ADA treats your business as a place of public accommodation, and courts increasingly extend that duty to the website tied to it. A private plaintiff cannot win money from you under the federal law itself, but they can force fixes and collect their attorney fees. So the cheap-looking demand letter still costs you real money once the lawyers get involved.

WCAG 2.1 AA Is The Yardstick

No ADA regulation spells out a web standard for private businesses yet, so courts and settlements borrow one. And the standard they borrow is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the same benchmark the DOJ wrote into its 2024 rule for state and local government sites. So when a complaint lists your failures, it reads like a WCAG checklist. You want to pass that checklist before a plaintiff ever runs it.

Fake Reviews Are Now Illegal

The FTC's Rule on Consumer Reviews and Testimonials took effect on October 21, 2024, and it targets exactly the shortcuts contractors get tempted to take. You cannot buy reviews, write them as the owner without disclosing it, or post testimonials from people who never hired you. And the FTC can seek civil penalties of up to $53,088 per violation. So that glowing five-star wall needs to be real and disclosed.

The Ridge-Week Search From a Ductless Bungalow

So picture the visitor your site exists for. This page is one piece of our HVAC Website Design work.

A heat ridge parks over the Willamette Valley, a Sellwood bungalow with no ducts and a window unit losing badly crosses ninety degrees indoors, and the search happens on a phone in the one cool room: ductless AC installation cost. She taps your result. The numbers here come straight from our State of HVAC 2026.

What renders in the next four seconds, a headline and a tappable number, or a white screen buffering a hero video, decides whether your estimator ever hears about it. The same crew also handles HVAC Conversion Rate Optimization in Portland, OR.

And that's the moment most Portland HVAC web design never plans for, because builds get approved in air-conditioned offices on fast connections by people who already know the company. The homeowner who pays the invoices judges the build mid-decision, on cellular, in seconds. And in this metro her decision is usually a conversion: the first real cooling her house has ever had. We run the same build nearby for HVAC Website Design in Seattle, WA.

Web design for HVAC contractors in Portland that starts from her moment and works backward wins before anyone compares logos.

What the Inspection Data Says About HVAC Builds

But don't take the urgency on faith, take it from the inspection numbers. Fervor scored real HVAC contractor websites against one framework for the Digital State of the HVAC Industry report, every site graded on the same categories, all evidence archived.

The Above-the-Fold Build: First Impressions by the Numbers

And once the page does load, the first screen has one job: tell a sweating homeowner she's in the right place and show her what to tap. The framework scores that directly, and the spread is wide.

Questions Contractors Ask Before Hiring Us

A site that books the job instead of just describing it. The work is conversion architecture first, so every page in Portland, OR has a clear call path, real proof, and fast mobile load.

You see the scoring framework, the benchmark data behind it, and your ranked fix list before any remediation work begins. It is a diagnosis you can evaluate, not a promise you have to trust.

The Fervor Grade framework was built by scoring 380 contractor sites across roofing, remodeling, and HVAC. Your trade's patterns are in the data, not borrowed from SaaS or dentists.

A Booked by Design rebuild runs 30 to 60 days. It starts with a Site Inspection so the build targets the pages that are costing you calls.

You do. The domain, the content, the analytics, every account we touch. Day one. No ownership traps, no holding your site hostage if you leave.

Then you found out something that was already costing you, and now you know where. The inspection surfaces what is actually wrong on the site so you can decide what to fix.

No. We work with HVAC contractors across the region, and the research covers national brands too, so the benchmark holds whether you are downtown or two towns over.

A Booked by Design rebuild is one project price with no monthly lock-in. One booked job at your average ticket usually covers it, and we show you that math before you commit.

No. The work protects what already ranks. We map the URLs and the equity first, fix the conversion leaks, and improve the pages that search already trusts rather than wiping them.

Very little. The intake takes minutes, and the build work is ours to run from there. You keep running crews. We will only ask for things no one else can give us, like your real service area and your best photos.
