Let’s talk about what your website could be doing for your business.

The Calgary, AB Remodeling specifics your website needs.

Every angle below comes from how Calgary, AB homeowners search, evaluate, and buy, built into your site to help boost conversions.

Your Remodeler Needs A Prepaid Licence

Alberta treats any contractor who takes your deposit before the work is finished as a prepaid contracting business. So before you hand over a dime for your kitchen or basement remodel, confirm the company is licensed by Service Alberta and has posted security. You can check the prepaid licence through Service Alberta, and hiring an unlicensed one leaves you exposed if the job stalls.

Your Basement Permit Has A Set Fee

The City of Calgary charges a building permit fee of $321 to develop a basement for the first time, plus a four percent Safety Codes Council levy. And renovations to an existing home run $198 before that levy. You need one whenever you move a wall or cut a new window opening, so budget the permit into every remodel here.

Add A Legal Secondary Suite Here

Calgary lets you add a secondary suite in most low density residential districts, from R-C1 through R-CG, and only one suite is allowed per property. So a basement suite is one of the strongest remodels you can pitch here. But you will need a building permit and a separate electrical permit, plus planning approval when the suite is discretionary in your district.

Your Reno Meets The 2023 Alberta Code

Every Calgary remodel has to meet the National Building Code 2023 Alberta Edition, which the province declared in force on May 1, 2024. It is built on the 2020 national code and reaches the alteration and change of use of existing buildings. So when you open up a wall or convert a space, your permit is judged against the current edition.

Designated Homes Need Heritage Planning Approval

If your project sits on a Municipal Historic Resource, Calgary requires collaboration with and approval from Heritage Planning before you alter certain historic elements. The designation bylaw spells out which features are protected and cannot be changed without sign off. So confirm a property's heritage status before you quote new windows, siding, or a roofline, because those exterior details are exactly what the review protects.

The First Contractor to Reply Usually Wins the Job

Homeowners are widely advised to get at least three remodeling quotes, and research on sales leads shows the contractor who responds first is far likelier to reach and win the customer. Speed to first response matters as much as the pitch itself.

Alberta Wants Consent That Fits

Calgary and Edmonton run under Alberta's PIPA, which has governed private businesses since January 2004. And it wants consent matched to how sensitive the information is, documented before you collect it. So your quote form should say why you are asking for a name, an address, and a phone number, and you cannot quietly repurpose that data later. The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta oversees it.

Report The Real-Risk Breach

Alberta's PIPA makes you notify the Commissioner without unreasonable delay when a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, and the OIPC then decides whether the affected people must be told too. So a hacked CRM or a leaky form is a reporting call, not a private cleanup. And the province tightened its breach process in April 2024, so the expectations are sharper than they used to be.

The Trade Is Middle of the Pack, Which Means the Bar Is Low

Here's the good news hiding in the bad news. The trade isn't setting a high standard, so beating it doesn't take a miracle. It takes fixing a few specific leaks nobody else is fixing. This page is one piece of our Remodeling Conversion Rate Optimization work.

The After-Hours Leak Nobody Plugs

Think about when a homeowner actually researches a remodel. Not at 2pm when your office is open. At 9pm, after the kids are down, when the house is quiet and she can finally think about that kitchen. And that's exactly when most remodeling sites go dark. The numbers here come straight from our State of Remodeling 2026.

The Form Is Where You Bleed Out

You bought the click. You earned the trust. She's reaching for the button. And then your form asks for eleven fields and she quietly closes the tab. The same crew also handles Remodeling SEO in Calgary, AB.

Proof Has to Sit Next to the Ask

A homeowner about to hand a stranger a big cheque needs proof, and she needs it right where she's deciding, not buried on a testimonials tab she'll never click. We run the same build nearby for Remodeling Conversion Rate Optimization in Saskatoon, SK.

Questions Contractors Ask Before Hiring Us

A site that books the job instead of just describing it. The work is conversion architecture first, so every page in Calgary has a clear call path, real proof, and fast mobile load.

You see the scoring framework, the benchmark data behind it, and your ranked fix list before any remediation work begins. It is a diagnosis you can evaluate, not a promise you have to trust.

The Fervor Grade framework was built by scoring 380 contractor sites across roofing, remodeling, and HVAC. Your trade's patterns are in the data, not borrowed from SaaS or dentists.

A Booked by Design rebuild runs 30 to 60 days. It starts with a Site Inspection so the build targets the pages that are costing you calls.

You do. The domain, the content, the analytics, every account we touch. Day one. No ownership traps, no holding your site hostage if you leave.

Then you found out something that was already costing you, and now you know where. The inspection surfaces what is actually wrong on the site so you can decide what to fix.

No. We work with remodeling contractors across the region, and the research covers national brands too, so the benchmark holds whether you are downtown or two towns over.

A Booked by Design rebuild is one project price with no monthly lock-in. One booked job at your average ticket usually covers it, and we show you that math before you commit.

No. The work protects what already ranks. We map the URLs and the equity first, fix the conversion leaks, and improve the pages that search already trusts rather than wiping them.

Very little. The intake takes minutes, and the build work is ours to run from there. You keep running crews. We will only ask for things no one else can give us, like your real service area and your best photos.

Still Have Questions?

Give us a call expressing your specific needs, and we’ll see if we are a good fit for each other.

“5 stars without hesitation. Working with Fervor has been an amazing experience from start to finish. The level of professionalism was genuinely top tier. Communication was excellent, quick replies, clear updates, and always open to feedback or changes without any problem. What stood out most is that you can tell he genuinely knows web design inside and out from real professional experience, not just someone throwing together templates. He put real effort, care, and thought into the project, even offering his own ideas and suggestions to improve things I hadn't even considered. On top of that, he's genuinely a great guy to deal with, easy to talk to, open-minded, helpful, and clearly passionate about what he does. I'd confidently recommend him to anyone looking for a professional website or branding help. Huge respect and appreciation.”
