“5 stars without hesitation. Working with Fervor has been an amazing experience from start to finish. The level of professionalism was genuinely top tier. Communication was excellent, quick replies, clear updates, and always open to feedback or changes without any problem. What stood out most is that you can tell he genuinely knows web design inside and out from real professional experience, not just someone throwing together templates. He put real effort, care, and thought into the project, even offering his own ideas and suggestions to improve things I hadn't even considered. On top of that, he's genuinely a great guy to deal with, easy to talk to, open-minded, helpful, and clearly passionate about what he does. I'd confidently recommend him to anyone looking for a professional website or branding help. Huge respect and appreciation.”

Call Us TodayThe Albuquerque, NM Remodeling specifics your website needs.
Every angle below comes from how Albuquerque, NM homeowners search, evaluate, and buy, built into your site to help boost conversions.
Nearly half your city predates 1980
Albuquerque's median home was built in 1983, and Census figures put about 46 percent of the city's 262,000 housing units up before 1980. So a typical remodel here means working on 1960s and 1970s stock: original evaporative coolers, single-pane glazing, and slab foundations poured before modern moisture detailing. Your scope and budget should assume you are upgrading dated systems.
New Mexico gates your remodeler at GB-98
New Mexico does not let just anyone contract your remodel. The Construction Industries Division issues the GB-98 general building license, which covers one-family and two-family dwellings and requires four years of foreman level practical or related experience. Every licensee also furnishes a bond in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000). So before you sign in Albuquerque, you verify the GB-98 number and the active bond through CID.
Old Town and Huning Highland need a COA
If your home sits in an Albuquerque Historic Protection Overlay zone like Old Town, Huning Highland, or Fourth Ward, the Landmarks Commission controls its exterior. You need a Certificate of Appropriateness before you touch porches, roofs, windows, additions, or exterior materials, and restoration work must be identical in design, size, texture, color and material. So an ordinary window swap here becomes a design-review submittal rather than a same-week job.
Your permit follows the 2021 residential code
New Mexico adopted the 2021 New Mexico Residential Building Code, which adopts by reference the 2021 International Residential Code, effective July 14, 2023. Since December 2023, CID issues permits only under that edition. So any Albuquerque addition or major remodel you pull a permit for now answers to 2021 IRC provisions for insulation, egress, and structure, and your contractor should be pricing to that code.
Your casita is capped at 750 square feet
Albuquerque changed its zoning in 2023 so casitas are allowed by right in R-1 neighborhoods across the city. Under the Integrated Development Ordinance, ADUs cannot be more than 750 square feet, only 1 casita is allowed per lot in R-A and R-1 zones, and the unit needs a five-foot setback behind the main house. So an accessory suite now clears on a permit rather than a public hearing.
Adobe remodels answer to a special code
Many older Albuquerque homes are built of adobe, and New Mexico regulates earthen construction under its own code. The New Mexico Earthen Building Materials Code (14.7.4 NMAC) sets minimum standards for earthen building materials construction and applies to all earthen building materials contracting work performed in New Mexico. So if you are re-plastering, adding onto, or repairing an adobe wall here, your contractor works to that earthen code.
The First Contractor to Reply Usually Wins the Job
Homeowners are widely advised to get at least three remodeling quotes, and research on sales leads shows the contractor who responds first is far likelier to reach and win the customer. Speed to first response matters as much as the pitch itself.
Homeowners Evaluate You Before They Ever Reach Out
Reviews, a professional site, real project photos, and how fast you've responded to others all do part of the selling before a homeowner fills out a form. The website is doing the pitch alone, unsupervised.
What Your Albuquerque Traffic Actually Does
Conversion is the share of visitors who do the one thing your business needs, which is book a consult. This page is one piece of our Remodeling Conversion Rate Optimization work.
Get My Site InspectionAnd most remodeling sites turn a thin slice of their traffic into that action, which means the ad budget mostly buys people who look and leave. There's a bright side hiding in that, by the way: local construction labour runs meaningfully below the national average here, so every renovation dollar stretches and the pipeline keeps moving even when rates pinch. The numbers here come straight from our State of Remodeling 2026.
That makes each captured consult worth more, not less. Start with where the trade sits, because it sets the bar you're clearing. "Across 146 remodeling contractor websites inspected for the State of the Remodeling Industry report, the average site earns 65.67 of 100 points." - Fervor, Digital State of the Remodeling Industry (2026). The same crew also handles Remodeling SEO in Albuquerque, NM.
That's the measured field, and it isn't a tall bar. An Albuquerque shop whose site clears the conversion failures below doesn't need to outspend anyone across a metro the Big I cuts into quadrants. The site itself becomes the edge. "The median remodeling contractor website scores 71 of 100, and the single best site in the study reached 86." - Fervor, Digital State of the Remodeling Industry (2026). We run the same build nearby for Remodeling Conversion Rate Optimization in Phoenix, AZ.
So the ceiling is real and reachable. And the distance between your Albuquerque site and that best-in-study 86 isn't a budget problem, it's a conversion problem, built from a handful of specific leaks that repeat across almost every remodeling site we open.
The Booking Gap: After-Hours Demand at 5,300 Feet
Here's the first leak, and it's the biggest. A North Valley homeowner finally decides to redo the adobe's kitchen at 9pm in December, lands on your site, and finds no way to book.
Get My Site InspectionSo she waits for business hours, and by then she's on a competitor's calendar. The winter design season makes this worse in Albuquerque than most places, because the hard freezes from November through February are exactly when homeowners sketch kitchens by the fire and shortlist the shops they'll hire in spring.
"Only 33.6% of remodeling contractor websites offer online scheduling or booking; the rest send after-hours demand to voicemail." - Fervor, Digital State of the Remodeling Industry (2026)
Two-thirds of the trade sends its evening and weekend demand straight to voicemail, and remodeling demand is overwhelmingly evening-and-weekend, because your buyer is researching after work. A booking widget wired into your calendar (the kind tools like Jobber run) catches the consult while she's motivated. And the patience of the remodeling buyer makes that captured moment worth real money.
"Homeowners spend roughly 9.6 months planning a kitchen remodel versus 5.1 months building it." - Houzz Inc. (2024) Almost ten months of consideration, and the shop that catches her at the 9pm moment of intent stays on her list for all of it. Miss the booking and you're not just losing tonight, you're losing the nine months of nurture a booked consult starts.
The Casita Search Deserves a Real Way to Ask
Albuquerque has a leak-shaped opportunity most metros don't.
Get My Site InspectionThe 2023 Housing Forward ABQ zoning changes opened casitas (the local word for backyard ADUs) to R-1 lots citywide, one per lot up to 750 square feet, and the search results are still thin enough that the researcher has nowhere authoritative to land. So she lands on you with real intent. And then, on most remodeling sites, she finds nothing to do with it.
"Only 0% of remodeling contractor websites offer the visitor any kind of free inspection or assessment." - Fervor, Digital State of the Remodeling Industry (2026)
Zero. Not a single remodeling site in the study gives the visitor a low-commitment first step, which is exactly what a nervous casita buyer wants before she commits to a full consult. The buyer who's just learned her backyard is now buildable doesn't want a hard sell. She wants a low-stakes way to raise her hand.
So give her one: a clear booking option and a short form that lets her ask the casita question without feeling like she's signing anything. That's the whole conversion move, turning uncontested interest into a scheduled conversation instead of a bounce.
Where the Consult Dies: the Form
The second leak is the form itself. A homeowner willing to fill one out is the most valuable visitor you get, and most remodeling sites punish her for it.

Questions Contractors Ask Before Hiring Us
A site that books the job instead of just describing it. The work is conversion architecture first, so every page in Albuquerque has a clear call path, real proof, and fast mobile load.
You see the scoring framework, the benchmark data behind it, and your ranked fix list before any remediation work begins. It is a diagnosis you can evaluate, not a promise you have to trust.
The Fervor Grade framework was built by scoring 380 contractor sites across roofing, remodeling, and HVAC. Your trade's patterns are in the data, not borrowed from SaaS or dentists.
A Booked by Design rebuild runs 30 to 60 days. It starts with a Site Inspection so the build targets the pages that are costing you calls.
You do. The domain, the content, the analytics, every account we touch. Day one. No ownership traps, no holding your site hostage if you leave.
Then you found out something that was already costing you, and now you know where. The inspection surfaces what is actually wrong on the site so you can decide what to fix.
No. We work with remodeling contractors across the region, and the research covers national brands too, so the benchmark holds whether you are downtown or two towns over.
A Booked by Design rebuild is one project price with no monthly lock-in. One booked job at your average ticket usually covers it, and we show you that math before you commit.
No. The work protects what already ranks. We map the URLs and the equity first, fix the conversion leaks, and improve the pages that search already trusts rather than wiping them.
Very little. The intake takes minutes, and the build work is ours to run from there. You keep running crews. We will only ask for things no one else can give us, like your real service area and your best photos.
